TEASER TUESDAY: Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today my teaser comes from Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock.

I made it four or five feet and my strength gave out, my arms buckling beneath me.  I waited for the wolf to crash into me, to split my body open with claws and fangs.

Please share your teaser here so I can check it out!

Today’s teaser comes from Intangible by J. Meyers.

Every time it filled her with wonder.  This power she had.  This gift.  The light spread into Anne’s torso, down the length of her arms to her fingertips, through her hips and legs, all the way to her toes.  Her whole body was glowing, light streaming out of her fingers and toes.

Teaser Tuesday–Beautiful Chaos

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly event where book bloggers post a couple of lines from the book they are currently reading.  This is hosted by Should Be Reading.

My book for today is Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia:

“They were in there, but Gatlin wasn’t a town of glass windows anymore.  It was a town of locked doors and stockpiled pantries, a town full of folks waiting for the next twister or the end of the world, depending on who you asked.”
